Hi, we are VRT.

We combine our experiences as firefighters and first responders with being EV certified automotive technicians to bring you valuable knowledge about EV safety, response, and mitigation techniques.

We wish we could provide our full immersive experience for everyone, but that just isn't realistic. That's why we created our online program to provide our information in a more accessible format.

We are all about safety.

When it comes to EVs and lithium-ion batteries, we provide you with the foundational knowledge needed to be successful during incidents.

Our students leave training with a better understanding of how to respond to, support, manage, and mitigate EV and battery incidents. We understand every incident is different, but by understanding how to respond to these incidents, you will be better prepared for response.

I am writing this letter as a recommendation for the training services that Vehicle Response Training, VRT, has to offer.

VRT came to our fire department in May of 2025 and gave us a deep dive into emergency responses to electric vehicles, as well as potential responses to other emergency responses involving lithium-ion batteries. This is a very difficult subject to find quality training in, and we felt that VRT fully exceeded our expectations. Not only did they provide the knowledge and background necessary for this topic, but they also provided multiple props, including a Tesla, that we were able to get hands on and see firsthand.

Another great outcome of this training was the various resources that they provided. The world of responding to emergencies involving electric vehicles is constantly changing. By having accurate and detailed resources, emergency response personnel will be able to utilize up to date information that will make a difference when seconds count.

We plan to have VRT back in the future for more training. If you decide to do business with VRT, you will be happy with the quality of their training, knowledge, and attention to detail.
